Chalonne Wilson

Chalonne serves at the HR/Finance Associate and the Evaluation Fellows Program Coordinator at Nexus Community Partners, a community building intermediary, located in the Twin Cities of MN, focused on strengthening the social, cultural and human capital within our communities.

Chalonne brings years of experience in facilitation, leadership development, cohort-based programming, and community engagement to Nexus. As a trained facilitator and program manager, Chalonne is certified in Technology of Participation’s – Effective Methods for Participation. She is also trained in Art of Hosting techniques such as World Café, Open Space Technology, and ProAction Café. Additionally, Chalonne is an Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator and Insights Discovery Practitioner. In concert with her lived experience as a black woman, Chalonne utilizes each of these tools and certification to create culturally competent direction and action that is sustainable to the people, programs, and organizations involved.

Prior to joining Nexus, Chalonne served as an AmeriCorps leader where she worked with the African American Babies Coalition to increase their capacity to build and implement a training model within the Black community in Minnesota’s metro area. After her AmeriCorps experience, she worked at the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation as a Senior Program Associate facilitating the Community Equity Pipeline Program, the Neighborhood Leadership Program, and other consultant projects, such as the City of Minneapolis’s Urban Scholars Program.

Chalonne attended the University of Minnesota and studied Anthropology and Spanish Studies.
