I joined Nexus in August of 2019 as a team member of The Worker Ownership Initiative (WOI). I consult with business owners on succession planning and help them explore the benefits of selling to their employees. This provides a solid exit strategy for business owners, retains local businesses, and is an opportunity for employees to become stakeholders in their workplace. Our vision is to grow and perpetuate community wealth by expanding opportunities for local business ownership.
About:
I have 18 years of experience in the cooperative sector. I co-founded The Hub Bike Co-op in 2002 and served as CEO and Development Coordinator until 2018. Based off those experiences, I began consulting for a variety of Minnesota businesses, co-ops and nonprofits. I am a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), and Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR).
