About Lavasha

I serve as a program manager within the Open Road Fund. I am excited about the idea of wealth building within the Black and Brown community. I am specifically passionate about communities of color owning their labor, building generational wealth, and highlighting the uniqueness and beauty in the ways they cooperate. I am committed to challenging the standards of capitalism and the traditional ways of working.

Outside of work, I am a mother of a 10 year old Black boy with the most charming, upbeat, and silly personality; daughter to a humble, independent, god-fearing mother; oldest sister of many funny, loving, and passionate siblings; and a loyal, no nonsense friend. I hope that I can bring light to my work within the communities we serve and here at Nexus!
